Well we all know that "ezinearticles.com" is the worlds best article directory out there, but building your own Article Directory would surely excite you?

See I'm not here to promote anything or write a sales letter for the best product ever. I'm just going to give you a short peice of writing explaining the Pro's and the Con's of building your own article directory and what you could get out of it.

Other than EzineArticles.com, there are loads of other article directories out there, literally fighting for top spot on Google for the worlds best article directory. However, some directories are different from others, some will want you to pay a monthly fee to get your article at the top of the tree, some will want you to pay an annual fee, and others will want you to pay a one-time fee for unlimited articles to submit. These kind of article directories put me off a lot, which is why I'm here submiting an article to EzineArticles. If you did follow my advice, and start your article directory, just think to yourself, would you charge people to submit articles? Hopefully your answer is no, because other than people paying for their articles, you can develop many other income streams, mainly Google Adsense. In brief, its just a set of ads on your site that are relevant to your website content, and if someone clicks on your ads, you get paid! Very simple and very easy if you can get the website traffic.

Now, below Im going to list the pro's and con's of starting an article directory and why it can benefit you in many ways.

Pro's of setting up an article directory: - Setup and maintain a very high ranking for your article directory in Search Engines. A big profit monster, espeically if you have a good adsense income. Your site will setup a very high reputation if your ranking is high enough. Many many article writers and Ezine publishers will visit your article directory, giving your more visitors. Chance to build up an affiliate and advertising income, giving website owners the chance to advertise on your article directory. You could make profit very quickly after you set up your article directory.

Con's of setting up an article directory: - If an adsense income does not pay off, then domain fees and hosting fees could become trouble. If you have a very long full-time job, with high shifts, then taking care of your article directory would become a problem. If you dont have the right software, then looking after it on your own could become tiring and a big hassle.

I know I havent listed a lot of Pro's and Con's but I didnt want to bore you in telling you which is good and which isnt. Its purely for yourself to find that out as many people have different lifestyles and wants and needs.

All in all however, I would stongly recommend you to start up an article directory, even if you leave it open for a month, then its even worth it then because in that month, your adsense income would sky rocket!
