Why use the Teacher Report Writer Software?
This is a completely free piece of software, which is used by thousands of schools around the world.
One teacher estimated it had saved her 12 hours when she wrote her reports. I have used the report writer for the last 5 years, and I too think it is one of the best pieces of software out there.
Please download the Teacher Report Writer before you try to use my comment banks as they only work with this software.
When you have downloaded and installed this software and also downloaded all the comments you want to use from my site, all you do is open the Report Writer and then click on the the toolbar - file - open and open one of my comment banks.
For many years I simply used the templates available here. They are great and cover all the Primary School subjects in broader strokes. This year however, I decided that I really should be directly reporting on the learning outcomes I had been teaching, and make each report more specific to the things my class had been learning this term. It took quite a lot of time, but I copied all the learning outcomes for my Year 3 units and created my reports. My reports were far fuller and more detailed than my normal reports and so I thought wow - this is a fabulous way to go! I mentioned this to other members of staff, all of whom said the same thing - ‘If you make these report comment banks for my subject areas, I would be really grateful’. As I am the school’s assessment officer, I decided it would be an excellent thing for all the teachers in my school to use.
It took a few weeks to complete - but at the end I stopped and realised, if the teachers in my school wanted and needed it, it was only fair to share it with every teacher! So here it is - my comment banks.
