So you've purchased a popular blocking software and you're confident that your child is safe from online pornography and adult websites right?

Wrong.

There is a very sneaky trick that many teens and kids know about that enables them to access pornography easily.

To understand how and why this trick works, you first have to understand how the popular site blocking software works.

The site blocking software prevents your children from accessing adults only webpages by scanning the pages for their content and blocking the page if something questionable is discovered.

By scanning for keywords or image titles, the software tries to determine if the site or the content on the site is adults only.

For example, if your child tries to access a website with a suggestive domain name, the site blocking software will pick up on that and block the site.

But Your Child Can Easily Access Adult Material Using Google & Yahoo

Google, Yahoo and many other search engines allow users to search for "images". Now, if you're child searches for an obviously adult key phrase, your software may still block the site.

But if he or she types in an adult actresses name, it's unlikely that the site blocker will block the results and your child will have access to hundreds of nude or hardcore pictures.

NOTE: Even if you filter the search results on the strictest setting, searching by name still returns hundreds of adult pictures.

Your child can also access questionable material using the popular social networking site, MySpace.

How? Simple. Many adult film stars have their own MySpace page (for promotional purposes) where they can display pictures and movies of themselves.

As you can see, it's not enough to simply install a site blocking software and walk away. To truly protect your kids online, you need to be 100% aware of what's going on.
